Stocking Stuffer Suggestions from Your Greenfield Dentists

November 16, 2012

It seems like these days it begins to look a lot like Christmas long before Halloween is even over. Department stores have ensured that they get the most buck for the Christmas bang by pumping out holiday tunes and arranging festive displays of themed merchandise as early as possible – long before the calendar is even turned to December. It’s bound to get all of our wheels turning as to what we want to buy for whom this year. For a little holiday guidance, Drs. Bagley, Goodwin, and Hrinda, your Greenfield dentists, offer some dental related stocking stuffer ideas.

Travel Sized Oral Hygiene Products

All of those little mini bottles of mouthwash, tubes of toothpaste, and smaller sized dental flosses are just the perfect stocking stuffer. Most drugstores have a travel sized section, and they’re convenient for anyone to have on hand. Whether the recipient has a trip coming up, likes to keep their guest bathroom stocked for company, or prefers to have those extras on hand just in case they run out of their usual stock, you can’t go wrong with these fun little dental gifts.

A Nice Electric Toothbrush

There are many great motorized toothbrushes on the market these days, ranging in price from under $10, to well over $100. Your dentist can always provide you with a recommendation, and many dental offices will have their favorite brands and models for sale when you go in for your regular six-month checkup. Electric toothbrushes don’t clean your teeth better, but they do the job more efficiently, and for some people, this ends up making them the best choice. They can also bring a little pizazz to daily and nightly oral hygiene. This might be more of an under-the-tree gift, but perhaps a great stuffer for a really large stocking.

Wine Wipes for Purple Teeth

Do you have a wine lover on your Christmas list? Well, a bottle of red makes a great gift, but what about the aftermath of purple stains on teeth that some people have to contend with. This happens when tannins stick to the plaque on teeth. Did you know you can actually wipe these stains away? In fact, there are wine wipes designed specifically for this occurrence that can fit in a small purse (and certainly a stocking).
